England et al.,1 who must be commended for showing evidence that the electronic cigarette (EC) is not the clue against the tobacco epidemics, called for strong comprehensive measures to protect the population from this gateway to addiction. Indeed, too many experts are fooled by the “harm reduction” motto, forgetting the consequences of low-tar/light cigarettes. Although I share England and colleagues’ caution and common sense, I can hardly support their call.2
